Bandai Tamshii Nations S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z Son Goku Super Saiyan Warrior Awakening Action Figure Review

This version of the S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Awakening Son Goku depicts his first transformation into a Super Saiyan during his battle with Freeza on the Planet Namek.

The detailing is superb and I especially like the battle damaged effects he has on his clothing after his intense battle with Final Form Freeza.

In terms of accessories, the S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Awakening Son Goku comes with 2 additional interchangeable faces to show different facial expressions. There is a normal cool looking face, an angry face with him baring his teeth and one best used with the Kame-Hame-Ha as seen below.

I think SH Figurarts figures are of pretty high quality and they have gotten the face right for Son Goku. Many of my Dragonball Z Toys from my childhood did not have this level of quality and i had to bear with figures just barely resembling Goku. Well, not any more with the S.H. Figuarts Dragonball Z line.

There are also 8 interchangeable hands for you to pose with so that you can execute his Kame-Hame-Ha, simple punching or clasping his fists. Other than that, the S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Awakening Son Goku is fun to play with and I can't wait to get my hands on Final Form Freeza to re-enact this epic battle.

The great pity is however, that the Bandai Tamashii Nations Yellow Energy Aura is sold seperately so when you open up your S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Awakening Son Goku, you might get a little disappointed with the lack of accessories.

Thankfully, the Bandai Tamashii Nations Yellow Energy Aura is not too expensive, costing an additional $15 dollars so I guess I can bear with it.  It is obviously a tactic to generate more sales so there is no point in getting into big complaints over these things.

The S.H. Figurats Dragonball Z figures are getting very good reviews on Amazon.com. Currently, the S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Awakening Son Goku is getting a score of 4.8/5 with 52 customers reviews.

Toy Review: Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Piccolo Dragonball Z Action Figure

The S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure is a fantastic figure at a fantastic price. First released in Novemeber 2009, this figure had a recommended retail price of USD$45. Surprisingly, this beautiful  S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure   and can still be found on  Amazon.com   at a very reasonably $35 dollars at the point of writing. Looking closely at the  S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure , you can tell that Bandai did a fantastic job and they really captured the feel of Piccolo very well. The figure itself stands at around 170mm and comes with many accessories that you can mix and match, making it a very fun figure to have. He comes with interchangeable hands, face and his iconic costume with turban and cape.  Also, I think Piccolo looks very nice with folded arms which is also included. The  S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure   is very articulated and the joints are smooth, making posing easy.  A small regret is that the  S.H Fig...

Zoaloard Gyuot/Guyot Action Figure with Unito Remover - Max Factory Guyver Bio Fighter Collection 07 Review

Written by Jax. Pics Courtesy of Donnay The packaging for the Zoalord Gyout has been changed and replaced with what you see here. A blue paper box with the plastic casing housed inside.. I personally do not like the packaging because it apppears more low end and it breaks the continuity from the previous  Guyver Figures . But as soon as I opened the box and held the Gyuot figure in my hands, I fell in love with him immediately. The eyes are painted with orange reflective paint so that it glows under certain lighting. The Zoa Crystal and the gravitation orbs are made of a certain translucent material that seems to glow even though you know that they are not really glowing. I was elated to see that Gyuot had tons of accessories. The  Zoalord Gyout  comes with chest armour plates which you can attach on by removing Gyuot's head and wearing it over his shoulders. He also comes with armour for the shoulders, wrists, knees and legs. It gives him a really majestic lo...

Bandai Tamashii Nations - SH Figuarts DBZ Majin Buu Figure Review

Introduction - SH Figuarts Majin Buu Figure Review   "Buu turn you into candy and eat you!"  The Majin Buu is the final villain in the Dragon Ball Z Manga. Honestly, I did not like the Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu Saga when I read the manga as a kid. I felt that the author should have ended the manga after the Cell Arc. All the different forms of the Majin Buu such as Kid Buu, Super Buu (Evil Buu) , Innocent Buu (Fat Buu or Zen Buu) as well as the other intermediate forms as Buu absorbed other characters really got me thinking that the author was   running out of ideas. Nevertheless, the character design is pretty unique and the SH Figuarts Majin Buu (Fat Buu or Zen version) captured this very well.  Packaging I knew that the SH Figuarts Majin Buu was going to be a big figure but when I received the actual figure, I was pleasantly surprised that it was HUGE . The box itself is much larger than the SH Figuarts DBZ Nappa figure. ...
