"I am a Jedi, like my father before me." - Hot Toys Star Wars Luke Skywalker Return of The Jedi Sixth Scale Toy Review

Here is the Hot Toys Luke Skywalker Star Wars Return of the Jedi version featuring Luke's lightsaber in green. Overall facial sculpt is exactly what you would expect of Hot Toys which is very experienced in replicating the likeness of the characters that their Star Wars toys are based on.



 Darth Vader:" You are unwise to lower your defenses!"


Darth Vader: Give yourself to the dark side. It is the only way you can save your friends. Yes, your thoughts betray you. Your feelings for them are strong. Especially for... [pauses] Sister. So, you have a twin sister. Your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me. Now his failure is complete. If you will not turn to the dark side, then perhaps she will.

 Luke Skywalker: [revealing himself] NEVER!






The Hot Toys Luke Skywalker Sixth Scale figure comes with a green lightsaber as featured in the Return of the Jedi ROTJ movie. Luke skywalker lost his original blue light saber when his hand was severed during his fight with Darth Vader where he famously revealed to Luke that he was his father. Luke eventually constructed a new lightsaber but why was it green instead of blue?


There are many theories regarding why Luke's lightsaber was changed from blue to green colour. The first theory was that the sky of Tatooine was blue and having a blue lightsaber against a blue sky made it hard for the lightsaber to stand out, hence the change to green

Another theory was that because constructing a lightsaber required kyber crystals and these were not easy to find. So the only way to do it was to construct it from an old lightsaber which belonged to Qui Gon Jin.

A third theory states that because a scene from Return of the Jedi featuring Luke Skywalker constructing his new lightsaber was cut, George Lucas was worried that audiences may not understand that Luke's lightsaber was not the same one that he used when he dueled Darth Vader on Cloud City. Hence, there was a need to make a distinction in terms of colour.



Emperor Palpatine: Welcome, young Skywalker, I have been expecting you. You no longer need those. [uses the Force to detach Luke's cuffs] Guards, leave us. [the Emperor's guards leave the room] I'm looking forward to completing your training. In time, you will call me "Master".

Luke Skywalker: You're gravely mistaken. You won't convert me as you did my father.

Emperor Palpatine: Oh no, my young Jedi. You will find that it is you who are mistaken, about a great many things



Emperor Palpatine: Good, I can feel your anger. I am unarmed. Take your weapon. Strike me down with all of your hatred and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!


This is a great figure and a must have to pair up with the Hot Toys Darth Vader for many amazing battles.





Darth Vader: I see you have constructed a new lightsaber. Your skills are complete. Indeed you are powerful, as the Emperor has foreseen. [turns off the lightsaber again]

Luke Skywalker: Come with me!

Darth Vader: Obi-Wan once thought as you do. You don't know the power of the Dark Side! I must obey my master.

Luke Skywalker: I will not turn. And you'll be forced to kill me.

 Darth Vader: If that is your destiny.

Luke Skywalker: Search your feelings, father. You can't do this. I feel the conflict within you!

 Darth Vader: There is no conflict.

Luke Skywalker: Let go of your hate!

Darth Vader: It is... too late for me, son. The Emperor will show you the true nature of the Force. He is your master now.

Luke Skywalker: [resigned] Then my father is truly dead.


Luke Skywalker: [looks at Vader's severed hand, then turns to face the Emperor, throwing away his lightsaber] Never. I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You have failed, Your Highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me.

Emperor Palpatine: [angrily] So be it... Jedi.

Toy Review: Dawn of Justice Hot Toys Gal Gadot Wonder Woman 1/6th Scale Movie Masterpiece Figure

The Hot Toys Wonder Woman Figure looks very impressive indeed. Gal Gadot really carried the Wonder Woman character very well and I'm really excited that she has been given the Hot Toys treatment. This movie accurate Hot Toys Wonder Woman Figure is crafted with likeness to actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the movie Dawn of Justice. I love that the hair on the figure is using real fabric hair instead of sculpted hair and it looks very natural on the figure. The  Hot Toys Wonder Woman Figure  also comes with very detailed sculpting with her signature tiara, battle armor and weapons. It also comes with a Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice themed figure stand. There are no obvious ugly joints on the figure and it is sure to look very good on display. Bandai Tamashii Nations - SH Figuarts DBZ Majin Buu Figure Review

Introduction - SH Figuarts Majin Buu Figure Review   "Buu turn you into candy and eat you!"  The Majin Buu is the final villain in the Dragon Ball Z Manga. Honestly, I did not like the Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu Saga when I read the manga as a kid. I felt that the author should have ended the manga after the Cell Arc. All the different forms of the Majin Buu such as Kid Buu, Super Buu (Evil Buu) , Innocent Buu (Fat Buu or Zen Buu) as well as the other intermediate forms as Buu absorbed other characters really got me thinking that the author was   running out of ideas. Nevertheless, the character design is pretty unique and the SH Figuarts Majin Buu (Fat Buu or Zen version) captured this very well.  Packaging I knew that the SH Figuarts Majin Buu was going to be a big figure but when I received the actual figure, I was pleasantly surprised that it was HUGE .
