S.H Figuarts Shenron Bandai Tamashii Nations Dragon Ball Z Toy Review

The S.H Figuarts Dragon Ball Z toy series is really picking up on its figures and the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Shenron figure looks absolutely stunning. Just look at the sculpt and all the minor details such as his scales and fins and you know that this figure is a must get. At 280mm long, this figure will tower over the rest of your SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z figure and will look great hovering over them in the background.

In terms of articulation, it is a bit tricky. If you look closely at the pictures you will notice that there are joints on them and yes, the SH Figuarts Shenron figure is articulated. But there is really only a few ways to pose him to look good because if you adopt any other pose other than what you see in the picture, the red lines running along his belly looks disconnected and weird. So yeah, even though this figure is articulated, you wont want to deviate too much from standard poses for it to look good.

The arms and head are articulated too so that is probably all that you are going to play with.

The S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Shenron does not come with this Thunder Yellow lightning effect and the picture is only for demonstration purposes. It does come with the yellow base shown in the first picture and if you look closely, you see hints of spherical objects hidden inside and yes, those are Dragon Balls. However, that accessory is just one piece of 7 spherical metallic balls linked together and you cant really do anything with it. It would have been a good opportunity to include 7 Dragon Balls which can be attached at strategic locations along the figure stand or the Shenron figure itself. That would look cool.

The reason that the SH Figuarts Shenron did not include any Dragon Ball is that there are plans by SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z figures to start carrying Dragon Ball Accessories. The first figure to do so will be the S.H Figuarts Kid Goku figure who will carry the 4 Star Dragon Ball. I am guessing that SH Figuarts is going to release Dragon Balls with less popular figures in order to get collectors to collect all 7 Dragon Balls just like in the manga.

The mouth of the SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Shenron figure is articulated and also in this picture you can see the detail on his head and the body. It's a really nice sculpt.

The S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Shenron figure is available for sale on Amazon.com Now.

Toy Review: Max Factory Figma Guyver I Figure vs Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I Figure

I have been a collector of the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver figures for many years now and it was only recently that the Figma Guyver I  came to my attention. Even though I have seen pictures of the Figma Guyver I figure for a while, I had always thought that it was just a scaled down version of the previous Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I figure. It turns out that I was wrong and there are many differences between the old and new Guyver figure and the  Figma Guyver I   could be a good start to a promising toy line. In terms of scale, the Figma Guyver I figure is smaller than the BFC Guyver I figure but the differences do not stop here. Articulation and paint job wise, the Figma version is fantastic and even more articulated than the BFC version. For example, the Figma Guyver I can actually perform a high kick and a split which the BFC Guyver I is not able to, due to the very hard rubber located near the waist. Also, you can switch o...

Zoalord Pluqstahl Figure-Max Factory Guyver Bio Fighter Collection 11 Review

Written by Jax. Pics Courtesy of Donnay The packaging for the Lightning Zoalord Pluqstahl Action Figure has been reverted back to the previous designs like Guyvers I,II,III etc. I like this packaging design more so this got me pretty happy to begin with. Once again, I would like to emphasize that in order to get the   Pluqstahl Action Figure   out of the box, no cuts or tears are needed. So the toy maintains much of its value even after it has been removed from the box and is no longer considered mint in sealed box. Though of course a brand new Guyver Figure is still worth more then one that has been displayed. The eyes this time round no longer employs the reflective paint seen in the  Guyver Figures  as well as the Zoalord Gyout. Would have preferred Max Factory to build on the good points in past figures and retain it in future figures. Lots of intricate details on the face and the essense of the character is very well capture in t...

Guyver Figure- Guyver III Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection 01 Review

Written By Jax. Pics Courtesy of Donnay The Guyver Figures from the Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection are one of the coolest toy figures I have ever came across. The  Guyver III Bio Fighter Collection Series 01 (Max Factory)  is the first figure of this series. Lets review it point by point: Packaging: I personally love the packaging for this series. The outer layer is a transparent box which offers protection for the second layer. The second layer is the packaging which houses the plastic covers that sandwiches the Guyver III within it. It really looks good on display with all the printouts of the images of the toy itself, as well as display of the arsenal of interchangable arms and blades(more on this later). What is best is that you do not need to make any cuts or tears to the box in order to get the toy out. This means that if at any point you do not want to display the  Guyver III  figure any more, you can just pack it back in to the box just l...
