Toy Review: Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Sage Mode "Naruto Shippuden" Action Figure

The S.H. Figuarts Sage Mode Naruto  comes with amazing likeness to the anime character as we have come to expect from SH Figuarts. Tamashii Nations really greatly improved on the previous Naruto figure and this new Naruto Sage Mode figure is really beautiful. I really like the facial expression on Naruto as the feel of the character is really captured very well. The  S.H. Figuarts Sage Mode Naruto  has immaculate paint job and is highly articulated. Also, it comes with tons of accessories. Firstly, Naruto comes with two Sage Mode faces and a smiling face. Interchangeable hands include fist hands, Kunai holding hands, Justu hand which is what he does for his Kage Bunshin, open palms and a hand with a peg on it to hold the Rasengan. Talking about Rasengan, he not only comes with the regular Rasengan but also another energy effect for his Rasen-Shuriken. Most importantly, he comes with a Tamashii Nations figure stand which can be used to hold the...

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Street Fighter Ryu Action Figure Bandai Tamashii Nations

This S.H. Figuarts RYU Action Figure looks like a good start for a promising line. Many companies have taken on the Street Fighter line before but SH Figuarts is known to deliver highly articulated and beautiful figures so this got me really excited. Unlike the SH Figuarts Dragonball Z line which has been pretty stingy with power up effects and figure stands, the  S.H. Figuarts RYU Action Figure  will include a background sheet featuring his stage and a "hadoken" energy effect and it looks great! The  S.H. Figuarts RYU Action Figure  comes with the following: Ryu figure (15cm high) Optional expression parts (2 types) Optional hands left and right Hadoken effect Effect support part Background sheet Release date for this figure is in June 2017 and he will retail for 6480yen (about USD$55) The SH Figuarts Ryu figure is available for  Pre Order on Amazon.com .

Toy Review: Dawn of Justice Hot Toys Gal Gadot Wonder Woman 1/6th Scale Movie Masterpiece Figure

The Hot Toys Wonder Woman Figure looks very impressive indeed. Gal Gadot really carried the Wonder Woman character very well and I'm really excited that she has been given the Hot Toys treatment. This movie accurate Hot Toys Wonder Woman Figure is crafted with likeness to actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the movie Dawn of Justice. I love that the hair on the figure is using real fabric hair instead of sculpted hair and it looks very natural on the figure. The  Hot Toys Wonder Woman Figure  also comes with very detailed sculpting with her signature tiara, battle armor and weapons. It also comes with a Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice themed figure stand. There are no obvious ugly joints on the figure and it is sure to look very good on display. Even though the sculpt on Hot Toys figures have always been of high quality, I do hope that the final product will be further improved. Looking at all these close ups of the  Hot Toys Wonder W...

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Link Figma Action Figure Good Smile Company Review

If you are a fan of the Zelda game series, then the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Link Figma Action Figure is a definite must get. Link is the main character of the Zelda series and the quality of the  Link Figma Action Figure  is very high, both in terms of sculpt and articulation. The  Link Figma Action Figure  has a ball-jointed head, double ball-jointed shoulders, semi- ball-jointed elbows, pin and hinge wrists, a ball- jointed ab crunch, ball- jointed hips, ( jointed at both sides of the ball), pin knees ( with a really good range of motion), a cut at the top of the boots, ball- jointed ankles, a rocker in the foot, and pin toes. That's a ton of articulation and the posing is smooth and the toy figure holds its position very well. For accessories, the  Link Figma Action Figure  comes with his Master sword, the Hylian shield, the sheath, a standard gallant expression and a second shouting face for combat poses, a "slash" effect f...

Toy Review: Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H Figuarts Android 16 "Dragonball Z" Action Figure

Android 16 is one of my favourite characters from the Dragonball Z universe and I think he is highly under-rated. The SH Figuarts Android 16  toy figure is a must get to complete the Android trio and they really look awesome together. Paint-job is again immaculate and the sculpt is spot on. The Android 16 figure does not come with many accessories but he is one big and bulky figure, taller than Piccolo and measuring close to 7 inches measures from the tip of his hair and really works well and is to scale with the other Dragonball Z characters in the S.H Figuarts line. They should have included one or two little birds or small animals to show him in his gentler side though, that would be perfect. The  SH Figuarts Android 16  comes with 3 interchangeable face pieces (yelling, laughing and battle damaged) for a total of 4 faces. 2 pairs of hands ( clenched fist and open hands with slightly bent fingers) and removable forearms which reveals his cannon fo...

Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan "Dragonball Z" Action Figure Review

We have already started to take for granted the high quality Dragonball Z toy figures from the S.H Figuarts line. The S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan  was one of the earliest to be released in the line and at one point of time the price rose to over $200. Thankfully, with a re-issue, the price has recovered back to an acceptable range of less than $40 so it is a good chance to get it for collectors late to this line. Paint-job is excellent and the details are incredible. There are shadings on his hair, belt and shoes so it really looks great and the resemblance to the character from the anime is uncanny. The only drawback is that some may find him too small standing at about 5 inches from the tip of his hair to his foot.  The  S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan  comes with 2 interchangeable heads to depict his transformation between Super Saiyan 1 and Super Saiyan 2. He has 4 extra faceplates and even though most of them portray Gohan in his serious expression bu...

Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Android 17 "Dragon Ball Z" Action Figure Review

After the release of the S.H Figuarts Android 18 , her evil twin S.H. Figuarts Android 17  was released as a Japanese web exclusive and made available in North America via Bluefin Distribution. After the very well received Android 18, the S.H Figuarts Android 17 was highly anticipated and he was worth the wait. The S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z toy line is really the best in the market now.  The likeness to the Android 17 character in the Dragonball Z anime is stunning on the  S.H. Figuarts Android 17  . The paint job on this figure is perfectly done and it looks as if the Android 17 character popped right out of the anime. The black and red bandanna on the S.H Figuarts Android 17 goes very well with the blue and yellow on the S.H Figuarts  Android 18  and they look great together. Android 16 will complete the look. Articulation wise, the  S.H. Figuarts Android 17   boasts the same amazing pose-ability as previous figures. However,...
