Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan "Dragonball Z" Action Figure Review

We have already started to take for granted the high quality Dragonball Z toy figures from the S.H Figuarts line. The S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan was one of the earliest to be released in the line and at one point of time the price rose to over $200. Thankfully, with a re-issue, the price has recovered back to an acceptable range of less than $40 so it is a good chance to get it for collectors late to this line.

Paint-job is excellent and the details are incredible. There are shadings on his hair, belt and shoes so it really looks great and the resemblance to the character from the anime is uncanny. The only drawback is that some may find him too small standing at about 5 inches from the tip of his hair to his foot.

The S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan comes with 2 interchangeable heads to depict his transformation between Super Saiyan 1 and Super Saiyan 2. He has 4 extra faceplates and even though most of them portray Gohan in his serious expression but one of them is more comical for some light hearted poses. The S.H Figuarts Son Gohan also comes with the Namekian Cape from Piccolo when he completed his training in the Room of Spirit and Time.

Articulation wise, there is nothing you cannot do with the S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan so just go ahead and let your imagination run wild. But one of the complaints is that his arms are abit loose and they come off too easily so it might be a bit frustrating when you pose him.

The S.H. Figuarts Son Gohan has a rating of 4.4/5 on Amazon with 103 customer reviews. Here are some of the things other collectors are saying about this toy figure
  • My son loved this well made action figure
  • Must buy for collectors of DBZ
  • Consider me a satisfied customer
  • If you want a Son Gohan I recommend this! It came early and it was in perfect shape!

Jax Woon's Collection - Rare Guyver Figures 100% Complete Collection in Glass Display Cabinet

I just moved to my new house and finally got a proper toy display cabinet for my toy collection. The centre-piece of my collection is of course the Guyver anime figures from the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Series. I have had many friends coming over to my place and commenting that these Guyver Figures look very nice but they had no idea who these characters were. If you do not already know them and are a fan of anime, I highly recommend that you purchase the Guyver Anime: Complete Box Set [Blu-ray] from Amazon.com to get to know them. It is just 26 episodes so it will not take up a lot of your time to start a new anime series. I consider myself lucky to have been able to complete the collection way before the prices sky rocketed in the secondary market. Just doing a quick search on Ebay and you will find that the average listed price for the Guyver Figures is about USD$200 to USD$400 per figure meaning the prices have more than tripled from the time of relea...

Toy Review: Max Factory Figma Guyver I Figure vs Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I Figure

I have been a collector of the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver figures for many years now and it was only recently that the Figma Guyver I  came to my attention. Even though I have seen pictures of the Figma Guyver I figure for a while, I had always thought that it was just a scaled down version of the previous Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I figure. It turns out that I was wrong and there are many differences between the old and new Guyver figure and the  Figma Guyver I   could be a good start to a promising toy line. In terms of scale, the Figma Guyver I figure is smaller than the BFC Guyver I figure but the differences do not stop here. Articulation and paint job wise, the Figma version is fantastic and even more articulated than the BFC version. For example, the Figma Guyver I can actually perform a high kick and a split which the BFC Guyver I is not able to, due to the very hard rubber located near the waist. Also, you can switch o...

Bandai Tamashii Nations - SH Figuarts DBZ Majin Buu Figure Review

Introduction - SH Figuarts Majin Buu Figure Review   "Buu turn you into candy and eat you!"  The Majin Buu is the final villain in the Dragon Ball Z Manga. Honestly, I did not like the Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu Saga when I read the manga as a kid. I felt that the author should have ended the manga after the Cell Arc. All the different forms of the Majin Buu such as Kid Buu, Super Buu (Evil Buu) , Innocent Buu (Fat Buu or Zen Buu) as well as the other intermediate forms as Buu absorbed other characters really got me thinking that the author was   running out of ideas. Nevertheless, the character design is pretty unique and the SH Figuarts Majin Buu (Fat Buu or Zen version) captured this very well.  Packaging I knew that the SH Figuarts Majin Buu was going to be a big figure but when I received the actual figure, I was pleasantly surprised that it was HUGE . The box itself is much larger than the SH Figuarts DBZ Nappa figure. ...
