Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Android 17 "Dragon Ball Z" Action Figure Review

After the release of the S.H Figuarts Android 18, her evil twin S.H. Figuarts Android 17 was released as a Japanese web exclusive and made available in North America via Bluefin Distribution. After the very well received Android 18, the S.H Figuarts Android 17 was highly anticipated and he was worth the wait.

The S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z toy line is really the best in the market now.  The likeness to the Android 17 character in the Dragonball Z anime is stunning on the S.H. Figuarts Android 17 . The paint job on this figure is perfectly done and it looks as if the Android 17 character popped right out of the anime. The black and red bandanna on the S.H Figuarts Android 17 goes very well with the blue and yellow on the S.H Figuarts Android 18 and they look great together. Android 16 will complete the look.

Articulation wise, the S.H. Figuarts Android 17  boasts the same amazing pose-ability as previous figures. However, a change worth noting is that the folded arm accessory has been improved and instead of replacing the arm from the biceps which may be challenging sometimes, you now change out the entire arm so it is now much easier to do the folded arms pose.

In terms of accessories, the S.H. Figuarts Android 17  comes with a gun and holster, interchangeable belt and bandanna, a total of 3 optional faces, a pair of folded arms, alternate hair pieces, and a full set of interchangeable hands (6 right/5 left). The gun can actually be held in Android 17's hands and it captures the spirit of the Android 17 character very well since he is using the gun for fun as he finds killing people with his powers boring. The 3 interchangeable faces also captured the likeness to the Android 17 amazingly well and totally reminds you of what a jerk the Android 17 character is.

With the popularity of this line and the price of S.H Figuarts Android 18 figure rising, the price of the S.H. Figuarts Android 17 is unlikely to stay stagnant for long as people try to complete the Android collection.

The S.H. Figuarts Android 17  has a perfect score of 5.0/5.0 on Amazon.com with 51 customer reviews and that shows the high quality this toy has. This is likely the best Android 17 toy figure there is in the market and is sure to become a collector's item as time goes by.

Jax Woon's Collection - Rare Guyver Figures 100% Complete Collection in Glass Display Cabinet

I just moved to my new house and finally got a proper toy display cabinet for my toy collection. The centre-piece of my collection is of course the Guyver anime figures from the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Series. I have had many friends coming over to my place and commenting that these Guyver Figures look very nice but they had no idea who these characters were. If you do not already know them and are a fan of anime, I highly recommend that you purchase the Guyver Anime: Complete Box Set [Blu-ray] from Amazon.com to get to know them. It is just 26 episodes so it will not take up a lot of your time to start a new anime series. I consider myself lucky to have been able to complete the collection way before the prices sky rocketed in the secondary market. Just doing a quick search on Ebay and you will find that the average listed price for the Guyver Figures is about USD$200 to USD$400 per figure meaning the prices have more than tripled from the time of relea...

Toy Review: Max Factory Figma Guyver I Figure vs Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I Figure

I have been a collector of the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver figures for many years now and it was only recently that the Figma Guyver I  came to my attention. Even though I have seen pictures of the Figma Guyver I figure for a while, I had always thought that it was just a scaled down version of the previous Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I figure. It turns out that I was wrong and there are many differences between the old and new Guyver figure and the  Figma Guyver I   could be a good start to a promising toy line. In terms of scale, the Figma Guyver I figure is smaller than the BFC Guyver I figure but the differences do not stop here. Articulation and paint job wise, the Figma version is fantastic and even more articulated than the BFC version. For example, the Figma Guyver I can actually perform a high kick and a split which the BFC Guyver I is not able to, due to the very hard rubber located near the waist. Also, you can switch o...

Bandai Tamashii Nations - SH Figuarts DBZ Majin Buu Figure Review

Introduction - SH Figuarts Majin Buu Figure Review   "Buu turn you into candy and eat you!"  The Majin Buu is the final villain in the Dragon Ball Z Manga. Honestly, I did not like the Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu Saga when I read the manga as a kid. I felt that the author should have ended the manga after the Cell Arc. All the different forms of the Majin Buu such as Kid Buu, Super Buu (Evil Buu) , Innocent Buu (Fat Buu or Zen Buu) as well as the other intermediate forms as Buu absorbed other characters really got me thinking that the author was   running out of ideas. Nevertheless, the character design is pretty unique and the SH Figuarts Majin Buu (Fat Buu or Zen version) captured this very well.  Packaging I knew that the SH Figuarts Majin Buu was going to be a big figure but when I received the actual figure, I was pleasantly surprised that it was HUGE . The box itself is much larger than the SH Figuarts DBZ Nappa figure. ...
