Toy Review:Max Factory Figma Guyver III Figure vs Max Factory BFC Guyver III Figure

The Figma Guyver III figure's release date was on July/2017 but I have not yet had the chance to see it in any local stores selling anime figures and most of the online stores already sold out on their pre orders. I guess I would have to wait for a while more before the Figma Guyver III figure hits local shores. Amazon does have Figma Guyver figures for sale and it is always good to check them out from time to time.

Now this first picture here of the Figma Guyver III crossing his arms made me go "Wow!". For collectors new to the Max Factory Guyver Figures, it is worth noting that this was a pose which could never be achieved by the Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver III, due to the in-flexible chest piece which blocked the arms from crossing each other entirely.

The Figma Guyver III figure however, achieves this by having an inter-changeable chest plate which makes more space around the arm pit area and inter-changeable arms molded in the folding position.

The paint job and color on the Figma Guyver III looks fantastic and one would expect nothing less from Max Factory which has lots of experience with making Guyver anime figures. One thing to note is that the Figma Guyver figures are shorter and smaller vs the Max Factory BFC Guyver toys. So this is a pretty sad thing because if the Figma Guyver Series were to gain popularity and continue to release new figures that were not previously released from the BFC Guyver series, any new figures from the Figma Series would not stand to scale with the older BFC Guyver toys. I look forward to seeing Archanfel in the Figma Guyver Series, but not to an Archanfel who stands much shorter than my existing Imarukam Figure. I guess I would worry about this when the time comes.

This could be a good news though for new collectors of Guyver anime figures as this is a chance for them to start afresh and collect all the figures to scale with each other.

The Figma Guyver III figure comes with interchangeable high frequency swords which are the iconic weapons of the Guyver. There are also interchangeable fists, open palms for gravity orb attack, and grasping hands for holding the mega smasher open, pretty much similar to the Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver III

A display stand is also included, but it is a simple plastic stand to aid in posing of the Figma Guyver III figure and is unlike the Max Factory BFC Guyver anime figures which came with a stand and a nice base plate with the words "Bio Boosted Armor Guyver" engraved into it in Japanese, giving the toy a more collector's feel. In any case, the Figma Guyver III stand serves its purpose and you can pose him in high speed chases or hovering in mid air preparing for a mega smasher attack towards ground enemies.

Seen here is the Figma Guyver III figure posing for a gravity cannon attack. The chest plates here are swapped out and the same one as the one you would use for posing with the arms crossed. This chest plate makes more space around the arm pit area so that the arms can come in nearer to the centre line of the figure, making the pose look nicer.

The Figma Guyver III figure can also pose with the mega smasher open and the thing about this figure is that the design of the chest plates has been improved and the ugly hinges on the BFC Guyver III are replaced with a ball type swivel which blends in completely with the figure. A much needed improvement over the previous figure. However, it is worth nothing that the Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver III has much more details in the mega smasher area when opened and clearly tops the Figma Guyver III figure in this aspect.

A Unit-G capsule is also included as an accessory with the Figma Guyver III figure which the Max Factory BFC Guyver III did not have. Only the BFC Guyver I and BFC Guyver II came with this accessory and it seems that the sculpt and mold are very similar between the Figma vs Max Factory BFC.

The third Guyver who calls himself Zeus.

From the manga 'Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor' comes a Figma figure of the bio-boosted armor used by the leader of the Zeus Thunderbolt, Agito Makishima - Guyver III!
  • Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
  • A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
  • The chest area can be opened and closed. Careful thought has gone into the articulation allowing for various action poses.
  • A number of different hand parts, his dual High Frequency Wave-Vibration Swords, Unit G and alternate folded arm parts are all included.
  • An alternate chest part is included to pose him the Pressure Cannon gravity attack.
  • An articulated figma stand is included, allowing various poses to be taken.

Toy Review: Max Factory Figma Guyver I Figure vs Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I Figure

I have been a collector of the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver figures for many years now and it was only recently that the Figma Guyver I  came to my attention. Even though I have seen pictures of the Figma Guyver I figure for a while, I had always thought that it was just a scaled down version of the previous Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I figure. It turns out that I was wrong and there are many differences between the old and new Guyver figure and the  Figma Guyver I   could be a good start to a promising toy line. In terms of scale, the Figma Guyver I figure is smaller than the BFC Guyver I figure but the differences do not stop here. Articulation and paint job wise, the Figma version is fantastic and even more articulated than the BFC version. For example, the Figma Guyver I can actually perform a high kick and a split which the BFC Guyver I is not able to, due to the very hard rubber located near the waist. Also, you can switch out the chest p

Guyver Figure- Guyver III Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection 01 Review

Written By Jax. Pics Courtesy of Donnay The Guyver Figures from the Max Factory Bio Fighter Collection are one of the coolest toy figures I have ever came across. The  Guyver III Bio Fighter Collection Series 01 (Max Factory)  is the first figure of this series. Lets review it point by point: Packaging: I personally love the packaging for this series. The outer layer is a transparent box which offers protection for the second layer. The second layer is the packaging which houses the plastic covers that sandwiches the Guyver III within it. It really looks good on display with all the printouts of the images of the toy itself, as well as display of the arsenal of interchangable arms and blades(more on this later). What is best is that you do not need to make any cuts or tears to the box in order to get the toy out. This means that if at any point you do not want to display the  Guyver III  figure any more, you can just pack it back in to the box just like the first day you re

Gigantic Dark Guyver III Action Figure- Max Factory Guyver Bio Fighter Collection 09 Review

Written by Jax Pics Courtesy of Donnay The packaging for the  Gigantic Dark Guyver  is as shown. Box art looks great, and all the accessories can be seen through the clear display window. The   Gigantic Dark Guyver   comes with GigaSmasher changeable part, Gravity ram (long and short), Two interchangeable heads, one with sonic orbs closed and one open, three high frequency swords for each arm, interchangeable wrist parts (fist, grab, and hold), and an improved display stand (more on this) After spending about 10 mins untying all the wiring binding the Gigantic Dark Figure, he is finally released from his plastic prison and ready for action! But first let me point out a personal experience I had with the Gigantic Dark Guyver's High Frequency Blades. Everyone should take note of this. The three blades on the arm work this way. The longest and second longest blades have holes on the ends of the blades it self. On the arms there are corresponding pegs where you can fit
