Toy Review: SH Figuarts Nappa Dragon Ball Z Action Figure - Bandai Tamashii Nations

The S.H. Figuarts Nappa Dragonball Z Figure is beautifully sculpted and really captures his destructive, violent and cocky personality. The thing about S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z figure is that all of them replicate expressions of the characters really well and it really feels like you interacting with the actual characters from the manga when you play with the figures.

Nappa was an elite Saiyan soldier from Planet Vegeta and Vegeta's partner in combat in the Dragonball Z manga.  Vegeta and Nappa received a distress call from Raditz ( Son Goku's biological brother ) when he was defeated by Piccolo and Goku. They then got wind of the existence of the Dragonballs and decided to attack Planet Earth.

The S.H. Figuarts Nappa Dragonball Z Figure comes with a display stand and an effect part for his Blazing Storm Attack which is great because S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z figures rarely come with additional effect parts.

The interchangeable hand parts that come with the S.H. Figuarts Nappa Dragonball Z Figure also includes this accessory where Nappa raises his index and middle finger towards a point target which enables him to launch his Volcano Explosion attack. When Vegeta and Nappa first landed on Earth, Nappa destroyed an entire city with this attack and was warned by Vegeta not to go overboard as he might accidentally destroy the Dragonballs.

I like the size of the S.H. Figuarts Nappa Dragonball Z Figure as it is usually interesting to have toy figures of different sizes to add more variety to my toy display. Nappa towers over Vegeta and it's really cool to have these two Saiyan warriors on display.

The S.H. Figuarts Nappa Dragonball Z Figure comes with the following

  • Nappa comes with interchangeable hand parts (right x3, left x2),
  • Interchangeable face parts (x3),
  • Effect parts, and display stage

Jax Woon's Collection - Rare Guyver Figures 100% Complete Collection in Glass Display Cabinet

I just moved to my new house and finally got a proper toy display cabinet for my toy collection. The centre-piece of my collection is of course the Guyver anime figures from the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Series. I have had many friends coming over to my place and commenting that these Guyver Figures look very nice but they had no idea who these characters were. If you do not already know them and are a fan of anime, I highly recommend that you purchase the Guyver Anime: Complete Box Set [Blu-ray] from Amazon.com to get to know them. It is just 26 episodes so it will not take up a lot of your time to start a new anime series. I consider myself lucky to have been able to complete the collection way before the prices sky rocketed in the secondary market. Just doing a quick search on Ebay and you will find that the average listed price for the Guyver Figures is about USD$200 to USD$400 per figure meaning the prices have more than tripled from the time of relea...

Toy Review: Max Factory Figma Guyver I Figure vs Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I Figure

I have been a collector of the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver figures for many years now and it was only recently that the Figma Guyver I  came to my attention. Even though I have seen pictures of the Figma Guyver I figure for a while, I had always thought that it was just a scaled down version of the previous Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I figure. It turns out that I was wrong and there are many differences between the old and new Guyver figure and the  Figma Guyver I   could be a good start to a promising toy line. In terms of scale, the Figma Guyver I figure is smaller than the BFC Guyver I figure but the differences do not stop here. Articulation and paint job wise, the Figma version is fantastic and even more articulated than the BFC version. For example, the Figma Guyver I can actually perform a high kick and a split which the BFC Guyver I is not able to, due to the very hard rubber located near the waist. Also, you can switch o...

Bandai Tamashii Nations - SH Figuarts DBZ Majin Buu Figure Review

Introduction - SH Figuarts Majin Buu Figure Review   "Buu turn you into candy and eat you!"  The Majin Buu is the final villain in the Dragon Ball Z Manga. Honestly, I did not like the Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu Saga when I read the manga as a kid. I felt that the author should have ended the manga after the Cell Arc. All the different forms of the Majin Buu such as Kid Buu, Super Buu (Evil Buu) , Innocent Buu (Fat Buu or Zen Buu) as well as the other intermediate forms as Buu absorbed other characters really got me thinking that the author was   running out of ideas. Nevertheless, the character design is pretty unique and the SH Figuarts Majin Buu (Fat Buu or Zen version) captured this very well.  Packaging I knew that the SH Figuarts Majin Buu was going to be a big figure but when I received the actual figure, I was pleasantly surprised that it was HUGE . The box itself is much larger than the SH Figuarts DBZ Nappa figure. ...
