Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Yamcha Dragon Ball Z Action Figure - Bandai Tamashii Nations

Yamcha was an enemy of Goku at the beginning of the Dragonball Z manga and managed to defeat Kid Goku. Subsequently, he became Goku's ally and took the side of the Z Fighters as a powerful fighter, one of the strongest Earthlings.

In the Vegeta Saga, Yamcha fought along side Krillin, Tien Shinhan and Chao Tzu to stop the attacking Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa. The S.H. Figuarts Yamcha Dragon Ball Z Action Figureaccurately replicates this character in the Vegeta Saga battle.

Other than the Yamcha figure whose articulation and possibility are things we have gotten used to in S.H Figuarts Dragonball Z figures, the S.H. Figuarts Yamcha Dragon Ball Z Action Figure also comes with a Saibaman accessory which is a great addition.

The Saibamen were small green alien like creatures which sprouted when the Saiyan Nappa planted seeds in the ground, one Saibaman per seed. They were some sort of entertainment or warm up to the main battle before Goku was revived to join the Z Fighters.

Tien Shinhan took on the first Saibaman and defeated him easily. Yamcha volunteered to go next, in place of Krillin.

After Yamcha seemingly defeated his Saibaman, he got careless and the Saibaman managed to jump on and latch onto him and proceeded to self explode.

Yamcha was killed along with the Saibaman in this explosion and the S.H. Figuarts Yamcha Dragon Ball Z Action Figure allows us to recreate this scene from the Dragonball Z manga. One of the wrists of the Saibaman is detachable to accurately replicate this scene.

Yamcha's death made Krillin realize that Yamcha took his place in the fight against the Saibaman because he knew that Krillin had already been revived once with the Dragonballs and would not be able to come back to live again if Krillin were to die. Hence, Yamcha took the risk to fight the Saibaman, to test out their true powers in case of any surprises.

This enraged Krillin and he launches the Expanding Enery Wave blast attach which splits and kills off all the remaining Saibamen.

The S.H. Figuarts Yamcha Dragon Ball Z Action Figure stands about 6 inches tall and is super articulated. He looks great beside other S.H Figuarts figures like Tien Shinhan and Chao Tzu and Vegeta and Nappa. Collect them all now for a great display.

Toy Review: Max Factory Figma Guyver I Figure vs Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I Figure

I have been a collector of the Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection Guyver figures for many years now and it was only recently that the Figma Guyver I  came to my attention. Even though I have seen pictures of the Figma Guyver I figure for a while, I had always thought that it was just a scaled down version of the previous Bio Fighter Collection Guyver I figure. It turns out that I was wrong and there are many differences between the old and new Guyver figure and the  Figma Guyver I   could be a good start to a promising toy line. In terms of scale, the Figma Guyver I figure is smaller than the BFC Guyver I figure but the differences do not stop here. Articulation and paint job wise, the Figma version is fantastic and even more articulated than the BFC version. For example, the Figma Guyver I can actually perform a high kick and a split which the BFC Guyver I is not able to, due to the very hard rubber located near the waist. Also, you can switch o...

Gigantic Guyver Action Figure- Max Factory Guyver Bio Fighter Collection 10 Review

Written By Jax. Pics Courtesy of Donnay Packaging for  Maxfactory Bio Fighter Collection 10 Gigantic Guyver Figure  is the same as that of the previous Gigantic Dark Guyver Figure . There are openings on the side of the package so that you can see the accessories more clearly. I guess the only reason for doing that is to tempt collectors more : ) Despite his size, the  Gigantic Guyver  is super articulated. Joints at the elbows allow for bending more then 90 degrees. The green gravitational boosters on the body are translucent and looks as if they are pulsating with energy. Once again, Max Factory has impressed me with the details on the  Gigantic Guyver's  face. No paint bleeding of any sort can be seen. All the details on the face are captured. The head can not only tilt downwards as in previous figures.  Gigantic Dark Guyver  and Gigantic Guyver can both tilt their heads upwards by around 45 degrees, opening up new possibi...

Toy Review: Bandai Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts Piccolo Dragonball Z Action Figure

The S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure is a fantastic figure at a fantastic price. First released in Novemeber 2009, this figure had a recommended retail price of USD$45. Surprisingly, this beautiful  S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure   and can still be found on  Amazon.com   at a very reasonably $35 dollars at the point of writing. Looking closely at the  S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure , you can tell that Bandai did a fantastic job and they really captured the feel of Piccolo very well. The figure itself stands at around 170mm and comes with many accessories that you can mix and match, making it a very fun figure to have. He comes with interchangeable hands, face and his iconic costume with turban and cape.  Also, I think Piccolo looks very nice with folded arms which is also included. The  S.H Figuarts Piccolo figure   is very articulated and the joints are smooth, making posing easy.  A small regret is that the  S.H Fig...
